The End London
The End was a legendary nightclub in London, renowned for its pioneering role in electronic music and club culture. Located on West Central Street in the heart of London, it was co-founded by British DJ/producer Mr. C (of The Shamen) and entrepreneur Layo Paskin in 1995. The venue quickly gained a reputation as one of the city's best destinations for underground music, particularly house, techno, and drum & bass.
Key Features:
Unique Design: The club featured an intimate, underground vibe with a state-of-the-art sound system, including a dancefloor with acoustic perfection and immersive lighting effects.
Club Nights: The End hosted iconic club nights like "Bugged Out!", "Trash", "Subterrain", and drum & bass favorite "Ram Records".
Music Legacy: It became a home for global DJs and producers, drawing artists like Laurent Garnier, Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, and Ricardo Villalobos, solidifying its place in electronic music history.
Sister Venue: It shared a connection with its upstairs sister venue, AKA Bar, providing a relaxed lounge and cocktail space.
Closure:
The End closed its doors on January 24, 2009, after 14 years of operation. The decision to close was made to go out on a high note rather than see the venue decline. Its legacy lives on, as it remains a benchmark for club culture and has inspired countless venues worldwide.
Today, The End is remembered as a trailblazer in London’s nightlife scene, celebrating the convergence of cutting-edge music, community, and artistry.
