Nancy Noise
Nancy Turner
Nancy Noise is a pioneering DJ and influential figure in the evolution of Balearic and UK club culture.
A London native, she first encountered the eclectic dancefloor of Amnesia in Ibiza during the summer of 1986, where nights spent watching residents like Alfredo and Leo Mas shaped her deep, genre-fluid musical taste.
Over those formative years she obsessively collected the records she heard there, bringing that spirit back to London’s burgeoning scene.
On her return, Nancy was integral to the early acid house explosion — playing at iconic nights like The Future and Spectrum alongside Paul Oakenfold and other scene makers — helping introduce the open-hearted, Balearic ethos to UK clubs.
Her style fused eclectic Balearic, house, disco, indie and unexpected gems, challenging norms and broadening dancefloor palettes.
Throughout the ’90s she played major venues including Ministry of Sound and Renaissance, and later returned to Ibiza as a resident and venue founder.
Today she continues to play worldwide, celebrated for her warmth, vast record knowledge, and unwavering commitment to the original spirit of freedom and connection that defined early Ibiza and acid house.
